Where is your jewelry made?

Everything is custom made in New York City in our exclusive jeweler's shop.

Do you use natural or lab diamonds?

We can custom design using natural or lab grown diamonds- it all really depends on your preference, budget, vision, etc. We have wonderful ethical sourcing partners and work with both all the time. If you’re looking for more guidance on which type of diamond is best for you, rest assured we’ll talk through both options so you feel informed and excited about the diamond you choose!

Are your diamonds ethically sourced?

Yes! All of our diamonds are ethically sourced and adhere to the Kimberley Process.

How should I care for my jewelry?

You can refresh your jewelry as needed with a simple yet effective homemade solution:

• Step 1: Combine warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap or a splash of Windex. 

• Step 2: Drop her in and allow your ring to soak for 20-30 minutes, letting the solution dissolve any built-up residue. 

• Step 3: Use a soft-bristled toothbrush to gently scrub around any intricate details, paying special attention to the pavilion- the lower part of your diamond where oils often collect. 

• Step 4: Rinse in lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth. Voila—your ring is back to shining like new!

• Step 5: Store the solution in an airtight container for future use and make a fresh batch as needed.

What’s the difference between ready-to-ship, made-to-order, and custom rings?

Custom design: Our custom design ring process allows you to work hand-in-hand with Susie to bring your dream ring to life— whether or not you already have a vision for it! This process is efficient but highly personal and allows for multiple virtual design, sourcing, and review calls to ensure no detail is overlooked and your engagement ring is unique and meaningful.

Made-to-order: We are SO excited to start offering made-to-order rings in Fall of 2025. You will be able to choose from a handful of our most popular design styles, select your diamond, and customize your setting, prongs, and other details directly on our website. Modification options for each ring style have been thoughtfully set by Susie, based on style combinations that she’d offer and stand behind in a fully custom design. This approach allows us to offer ring options at a mid-tier price point without compromising quality- and allows for a quick, seamless, fun and accessible process for those who love signature Susie Saltzman designs and feel confident making design selections without hand-holding.

Ready-to-ship: These are pieces available for purchase directly through our Shop. They are one-of-a-kind Susie Saltzman designs but have already been designed and fabricated. You can sometimes modify the size by +/- up to 2 ring sizes in these pieces, but otherwise they come as they are and can ship within a week!
