We were gym acquaintances long before we were anything more. You know the kind – a familiar face, a polite smile, the occasional nod between sets. For months we shared the same gym space, both in our own zones… until one small question that shifted everything.

TJ asked me for squat form advice! Something so simple, but that one question turned into small conversations, then inside jokes, then moments where he’d re-rack my weights or jump in to spot me without even asking. Little by little, that gym friendship started to grow into more.

We stayed in the “just friends” stage for a while – probably longer than most people would expect – but eventually, we looked at each other and said, “What are we doing?” And that was the start of us.

Fast forward to the most magical night in Rosemary Beach, Florida – a place I’d always dreamed of visiting. TJ planned the entire trip from start to finish, and as we watched the sun melt into the ocean on the most beautiful evening, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

And of course, I said yes – to the love of my life, my best friend, my forever gym partner!!!

And the ring!! I’ve been obsessed with Susie Saltzman’s work for years – it was always my dream, but one I never really thought would come true. TJ worked with her to design something so stunning and so me. It’s unique and beautiful in all the right ways, but still feels timeless and elegant. The whole process with Susie was such an amazing experience for him, and knowing how much thought went into every detail makes it all the more special. I couldn’t be more in love with it.

This has been the most beautiful beginning to our forever.
