ying + Sean

Our love story, from Ying’s perspective:

Sean and I met in the summer of 2015, right when we were about to start our junior year at Berkeley. We went on a few dates, and from then on we were basically inseparable. We graduated together, we got a dog together, and when Sean moved to St. Louis for medical school, we did long distance together. We grew up together.

When it came to our engagement, I knew immediately that I wanted Susie to design my ring when my friend @juuulialuna showed me her work.

A few weeks ago, Sean recruited two of my best friends to help hoodwink me into thinking that I was going on a lunch date with them, when in fact he had taken a red-eye from California the night before. My friends wanted to take some "professional headshots" in Central Park before lunch, which was where he completely surprised me and got down on one knee.

I wanted a ring that was delicate and feminine, and I couldn't be happier with my custom pave swoop. I get compliments on how distractingly shiny my diamond is all the time now. It was fantastic working with Susie to design my dream ring!
