ENGAGEMENT

SAM + WILL

As told by Sam:

Will and I met in New York City 5 years ago. We had both just moved to the city (unknowingly, on the exact same day), and our first date was at Gemma at the Bowery Hotel. We've been together since that first date and are so excited to make things official next August in Maine! Over the past five years, we've cheered each other on through career milestones, life milestones, a global pandemic, and so much more. We currently live in DUMBO, Brooklyn with our one-year-old mini-dachshund, Enzo, who we are more than a little obsessed with.

When it came to picking an engagement ring, I (Sam) knew I wanted to be involved in the process, and Will was happy to have a little guidance. The universe stepped in when I was seated at a table directly next to Susie at a restaurant and shamelessly inserted myself into her conversation. I took this as a sign to work with her and immediately reached out to kick things off. Susie and Courtney made the process of custom-designing the ring feel personal and fun, quickly easing any anxieties we had going into it. They took the time to get to know us both individually and as a couple, offering their expertise when asked, without ever being pushy or directive. And of course, we couldn't be happier with the final product! Susie made the ring of my dreams a reality, and I'm pretty sure I'll never stop staring at it.
