Sam and I have been together since our first date on August 1st, 2015! We can't believe it's been over 8 years and about to be our 1 year wedding anniversary (10/1/22). We've lived together in Brooklyn for a number of these years and have adopted 3 cats together: Gus, Mickey, and Hamilton. 

The feeling on our wedding day was indescribable. There's nothing you can do to truly prepare for it and it was truly the best day of our lives. Going into the process, we honestly didn't have a vision for what we wanted our day to look like -- we just wanted it to feel warm, magical, and most importantly, like us. When we came across our wedding venue (The Harold Pratt House) it was truly love at first sight! One of our favorite parts that our guests loved too was how each part of the evening was in a different part of the absolutely gorgeous house, right in our own city. 

Regarding the custom design process, I feel strongly that it is the best option and that there are literally no downsides, especially not when working with Susie. I think there are misconceptions about custom that I know I personally had. Before speaking to Susie, I was concerned custom would be less affordable and more stressful. Both of those things turned out to be false! We would have been lost without Susie's wealth of knowledge, patience, warmth, and generosity. It's almost as if early on, before we even knew it, working with Susie embodied qualities that we wanted in our big day. We are so lucky to now call Susie a friend and wouldn't have done a thing differently.
